I began these notes as I walked to Santiago de Compostela in autumn 2013, and continued the thread during my summer 2015 Camino. Same route, though never the same way. Or the same person.
In June 2018, my hiking boots took me from Lisbon, Portugal through Fatima to Santiago de Compostela, then on to Fisterra and Muxia. In a few short weeks, I fly to Lourdes, France to walk shrine to shrine: from the blessed waters of Lourdes to the great cathedral at Santiago de Compostela.
Walk with me in spirit. Send prayers to fill my backpack and swell my heart. Propose ideas to contemplate during those long stretches when I cannot listen to my small grievances any longer.
